Robert L. Newcomb

Robert L. Newcomb Sr., 76, of New London, formerly of Muscatine, died Tuesday, June 17, at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, June 20, with family present from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at Elliott Chapel in New London. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Steve Prickett officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Muscatine. Military rites will be conducted by the Henry County Honor Guard.

A memorial has been established.

He was born Sept. 9, 1931, in Muscatine, the son of Henry and Cleda Ellis Newcomb. He attended schools in Muscatine. He married Dorothy Shanner.
