Robert K. Lenninger, age 96, of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at the Halcyon House in Washington following a lengthy illness.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Elm Grove Cemetery with Chaplain Andrew Zuehlke officiating. A general memorial has been established. Online condolences may be sent for Bob's family through the web at www.jonesfh.com

Bob was born August 29, 1922, in Keota, Iowa, the son of Charles and Anna (Reinert) Lenninger. He attended country school in the Keota area. Bob was united in marriage to Roberta Lynn on December 22, 1974, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Bob served honorably in the United States Army during World War II.

Bob lived most of his life in Washington, Iowa, where he farmed and raised hogs. He worked for Peter Pan Bread Company in Cedar Rapids for 25 years and later worked at Northrup King Co. in Washington. He enjoyed going to antiques auctions.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta Lenninger of Washington, Iowa; son, Robert Lenninger and wife Karen of Winterset, Iowa; son, Ronald Lenninger and wife Eileen of Indianola, Iowa; three step children; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and a number of step great grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.
