Robert M. Brinton

Robert M. Brinton, 88, of Brighton died at 10:55 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at his home.

      A memorial service is set for 1:30 p.m. Friday at Brighton United Church, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton.

      Family visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorials to the Richland Public Library or Brighton United Church may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 402 N. Farmer St., Brighton 52540.

      Mr. Brinton was born June 16, 1917, northwest of Brighton, the son of Homer L. and Carrie B. Pickard Brinton. He married Viveinne Neff in 1940. She died in 1976. He then married Virginia Gowey Drish Sept. 4, 1976, in Moline, Ill.
