Robert R. Cochran

      Robert R. Cochran, 92, of Farmington, died at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua following a lengthy illness.

      A graveside service was held this morning at Purdom Cemetery in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Military rites were in the care of Sargeant-Osweiler Post. The body has been cremated.

      Memorials to Sterling Visions may be left at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua or may be mailed to the family at 502 Maiden Lane, Farmington 52626.

      Mr. Cochran was born July 31, 1915, near Azen in Scotland County, Mo., the son of Glen and Mary Burns Cochran. He married Helen L. Aylor Jan. 11, 1946, in Carthage, Ill. She died Nov. 26, 2002.
