Robert R. Hochstedler

Robert R. Hochstedler, 86, of Hills, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at Lantern Park in Coralville, following a lengthy illness.

      Celebration of Life services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at Sharon Center United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Doug Cue officiating. Burial with military rites accorded by Richmond AMVET Post No. 107 will be in Sharon Center Cemetery in rural Kalona. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10, at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established for Hills Volunteer Fire Department.

      Mr. Hochstedler was born Nov. 4, 1919, to Samuel S. and Iva (Miller) Hochstedler in Kalona. He marred Mary Miller on Dec. 24, 1944, in Iowa City.
