Robert See


Robert C. See, 75, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019. He was born Aug. 25, 1943, in Enid, Okla., to Max D. See and Mildred (Reim) See. He was raised in Washington, Iowa, graduating from high school in Washington and attending college at Phillips University in Enid, earning a bachelor of arts degree in music education.
Bob joined the Navy in
1967 during the Vietnam War, serving as a frontline senior corpsman manning the northernmost perimeter of the northernmost outpost in Vietnam, known as Con Thien. Upon leaving Vietnam, he was assigned to the Main Navy Dispensary in Washington, D.C., as part of a medical team with responsibility for aid to the White House and Capitol. It was in Washington, D.C., where Bob met his wife of 47 years, Anita (Scholze) See. This union produced two children, Bryan See and Jennifer See.
Bob was the vocal music teacher in Kingfisher, Okla., for several years before moving to Anita's hometown of Rogers, Ark. He served on the Rogers City Council from January 1991 to December 1992 and embraced everything Razorback-related. He retired from Rogers Superior Industry in 2005 after 15 years.
He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Lowell, Ark., singing in the choir, playing his trombone or guitar and teaching Sunday school.
Survivors include his wife, Anita; and his children, Bryan (Tiffany) of Rogers and Jennifer (fiance, Robert Brown) of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Addison, Whitaker and Conaughey See; as well as his brothers, William (Kathy) See of Fort Collins, Colo., and Richard (Susan) See of Washington, Iowa; and his sister, Carla (Craig) Martin of St. Charles, Mo.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, Ark. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at First Baptist Church in Lowell, Ark.
