Robert W. 'Bob' Steffens December 25,1925-October 25, 2005

Robert W. "Bob" Steffens, 79 of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, at his home.

Friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m Friday at the Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Edward R. Peterson officiating.

Inurnment will be held at a later date in Atlantic, IA. Memorials have been established to the American Heart Association and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

He is survived by his wife Iona of Mt. Pleasant, IA; two sons, Greg (Deanne) Steffens of Winterset, IA, and Dave (Barb) Steffens of Mt. Pleasant, IA; one daughter, Becky (Joe) Salacki of Wildwood, MO. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Kim Pollard, Stefanie White, Matthew Steffens and Nicholas Steffens; three step-grandchildren, Laura Melzer, Claire Melzer and Trey Salacki; two great-grandchildren, Bailey Pollard and Carter White.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Ruth Cook.
