Robert W. Lauer
Robert W. Lauer, 89, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, Jan. 1, at Henry County Health Center.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, with family present. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at the Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Steven Zittergruen officiating. Burial will follow at the Swedesburg Church Cemetery, with a military flag presentation.
A general memorial has been established.
He was born June 24, 1919 in rural Winfield, the son of Chester and Ruth Schriver Lauer. On May 24, 1946, he married Jane Maxwell in Hannibal, Mo.
