Rodney Wallman

      Rodney Wallman, 24, of Yarmouth, died at 7:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000.

      The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, in Elliott Chapel of New London with the Rev. John Gaulke officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery of Mt. Union. Visitation began at noon on Friday, Nov. 17, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established in lieu of flowers.

      Mr. Wallman was born Jan. 29, 1976, at Fort Madison, the son of Douglas Dean and Julie Marie Andrews Hayes. A 1994 graduate of Mediapolis High School, he worked as a laborer at Wal-Mart Warehouse in Mt. Pleasant. He was of the Christian faith, loved karate and taught classes, and enjoyed his little cousins, TV wrestling and boxing, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

      Survivors include his parents; his stepfather, Ken Hayes of Mondamin; two brothers, Seth and Ezra Fuerman, both of Fort Madison; a half-sister, Kelly Hayes of Mondamin; his grandparents, Rodney and Betty Carol Wallman of Yarmouth, Floreen Fuerman of West Point, and Jodell Andrews of Donnellson; and a great-grandmother, Marie Yoder of Donnellson. He was preceded in death by two grandmothers and two grandfathers.
