Roger Baumert, 61, of Winfield, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Henry County Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 4:00 p.m. at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Winfield. Roger Lee Baumert was born on September 8, 1962, to Dennis and Judy (Crossett) Baumert in Sigourney. On July 19, 2014 he was united in marriage to Belinda Sheeley in Winfield. Roger worked for Continental in Mount Pleasant for over 30 years and also at Mack Farms. He was a member of the Winfield Fire Department for over 25 years. Roger enjoyed deer hunting, camping, boating, taking scenic drives and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Roger will be deeply missed by his wife, Belinda of Winfield; children, Mendy (Jerry) McCreight of Winfield, Misty (Jason) Kellogg of Winfield, Mark (Josh) Atcher of North Liberty, Melanie (Danny) Missey of Pacific, MO; grandchildren, Koltin, Addisyn, Jaiden, Cam, Alex, Madisen, Jayda, Kaylynn, Treyton, Brylee, Hannah, Grayson and Tatum; parents, Dennis and Judy Baumert of Keota; brothers, Joseph Baumert of Des Moines and Matthew (Jill) Baumert of Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Pearl Baumert and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Doris Crossett.
