Roger G. McGuire

      MORTON, Ill.-Roger G. McGuire, 71,of Morton, Ill., formerly of Wayland, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at home.

      Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 3, at First Mennonite Church in Morton, Ill., with the Rev. Doane Brubaker officiating. Cremation will be accorded following services with burial at a later date.Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton, Ill., and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, at the church. Memorials may be directed to the First Mennonite Church in Morton, Ill., or the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.

      Mr. McGuire was born on Sept. 3, 1932, in Wayland, to Max and Bessie (Allred) McGuire. He married Lavonne C. Wenger on June 30, 1957, in Wayland.
