Rolland David Benson

      Rolland David Benson, 94, of Washington died Monday, March 12, 2007 in the Halcyon House in Washington following an illness.

      Celebration of life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15 in the Prairie Flower Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Collings and the Rev. Tom Robbins officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Prairie Flower Baptist Church or Halcyon House.

      Mr. Benson was born May 29, 1912 in rural Washington County, the son of Dave and Bessie (McKee) Benson. He married Gladys Vernice McCreedy on Aug. 26, 1933 in Washington.
