Roma Jones

COLUMBUS JUNCTION ? Roma Susan Jones, 75, of Columbus Junction, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at her home.

Cremation rites will be facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center located with Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction with the Rev. Mel Greengo officiating. Burial will be at a later date. A general memorial has been established at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones was born Jan. 9, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Alice (Jones) Sharp. She married Edward W. Jones, 40 years ago in July, in London, Ohio.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, socializing with her women friends, bird watching, and caring for stray cats, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are one son, Timothy Hodges and wife Tracey of Webster City; two daughters, Kim Hulet-Sutherland and husband Greg of Wapello, and Michelle E. Hodges of Cheyenne, Wyoming; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Judy Rowland of Worthington, Ohio, and Harriet Linn of Linden, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Miles, and Craig Sharp.
