Ronald Everette Gholson, 56, of North Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Trenton died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, in a Las Vegas hospital.

The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Green Mound Church in Trenton with the Rev. Ray Draper officiating. Burial of his cremains will be in the Green Mound Cemetery. Friends may call to sign the register or leave a memorial from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends for a luncheon at the Green Mound Church following the service. Memorials can be made to the Green Mound Church of God.

Mr. Gholson was born Sept. 3, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Everette Wayne and Ruth Iola Smith Gholson. He had been a member of the armed forces, stationed in Korea. He worked in the construction industry as a block mason. He was a member of the Labor Union and an active member of the Elks Lodge and the Southern Nevada Studebakers Club.

Survivors include one daughter, Debra Thomas of Mt. Pleasant; one son, Bruce Gholson of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother, Richard Smith of Bloomfield; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
