Ronald "Ron" Frank Wallace, 48, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020, at his home. Open visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at Behner Funeral Home. There will be a private service for family with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Following the service, he will be cremated and burial will be
at a later date at Miller's Chapel, Van Buren County.
In lieu flowers, a memorial has been established. Cards and memorials may be mailed to Kayla Neff, 1304 180th St., Keota, IA 52248.
Ron was born Oct. 17, 1971, in Keosauqua, Iowa, to Donald and Shirley (Clark) Wallace Sr. Ron worked for 15 years at Highway Service Center as a diesel mechanic and the last 13 years for Gabeline Trucking as a truck driver. He was a member of River Valley Lodge, Lake Darling Saddle Club and the National Rifle Association (NRA). Ron loved horses and loved mentoring all the girls in horse shows. He was an avid camper and while camping they would go trail riding and donkey sorting. He also was a hobby stockcar racer and was No. 66W. He attended Tri-State Rodeo every year. Ron loved to spend time with his family.
He will be missed by his wife, Kimberly Lacey of Lockridge; children, Kayla (Kenny) Neff of Keota, Echo Daugherty of Farmington, Krystal Wallace of Washington, Cheyenne (Daniel) Schwarz of Mount Pleasant, Toby Doane and Kaylee Lacey of Lockridge; five grandchildren, McKenna and Bailey Neff, Chase and Nolan Hamm and Jamison Prichard; siblings, Donald Wallace Jr. of Lockridge, Sheila (Scott) Hawkins and Connie Wallace, both of Fairfield, and Stephanie Wallace of Lockridge; and many nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Shirley Wallace; brothers, Charlie and Steve Wallace; and great-nephew, Jonathan McKim.
