Rosamond B. Sasseen

      Rosamond B. Sasseen, 89, formerly of Richland, died early Thursday, June 26, 2008, at home in Ottumwa.

      A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Richland United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kim Gates officiating and the Rev. Wilbur Morfitt assisting. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery.

      Open visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland, with the family present from 2-5 p.m.

      A memorial to Richland United Methodist Church has been established. Memorials may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the family at 308 Pike Road, Ottumwa 52501.

      Mrs. Sasseen was born Nov. 15, 1918, in Jefferson County near Woolson, the daughter of Von and Helen M. Byers Hadley. She married Dale Sasseen Jan. 29, 1938, in Burlington.
