Rosario I. “Rose” Eldridge, age 55, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, July 10, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospital following a three year battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Washington with President Brian Overy officiating. Calling hours will begin 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13th at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 Wednesday evening. Rose was born October 27, 1966, in Lapu LapuCity, Phillipines, the daughter of Antonio Fama Itong and Patrocinia Galupo Chavez. Following her high school graduation, Rose attended Divine Word College in Tagbiliran, Phillipines. She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Eldridge on September 1, 1999, in Tagbiliran.

Rose has lived in Washington County since 2000. She worked as a sales clerk at Walmart in Washington, Iowa. She belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and truly loved going to church. She enjoyed singing Karaoke, and also enjoyed taking pictures and posting them on social media. She liked gardening and taking care of her dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Eldridge of Washington, Iowa; son, Liam Eldridge of Washington, Iowa; sister, Teresita Retrominia of Tagbiliran, Phillipines; and several nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Vivian Itong.
