Rose M. Bender

KALONA - Rose M. Bender, 92, of Pleasantview Home in Kalona died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, after a lingering illness.

      Funeral services were at 11 a.m. today in the Kalona Mennonite Church in Kalona with the Rev. Scott Swartzendruber, the Rev. Mick Murray and The Rev. David L. Yoder officiating. Burial was prior to the service at West Union Cemetery in Parnell. Memorials may be made to the Pleasantview Home or Kalona Mennonite Church.

      Mrs. Bender was born Oct. 16, 1916 in Wolford, N.D., the daughter of Mose F. and Hannah (Graber) Yoder. She married Cleland Schrock on Aug. 5, 1937. She later married Gerald Bender on July 1, 1972.
