Rose M. Childs

      Rose M. Childs, 79, of Washington died, Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at her home following declining health.

      Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington with the Rev. Brian Gentz officiating. Burial will be in Crawfordsville Cemetery. Visitation began at noon Monday at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County, Sew Day Circle Mission projects, or the Iowa Foundation for the Blind.

      Mrs. Childs was born March 14, 1926, in Centerville to Milton Otto and Ethel (Clark) Sager. She married Edwin Childs on May 10, 1944, in Bloomfield. He preceded her in death in 1995.
