Roy J. Smith Febrary 13, 1964 - October 16, 2005

      Roy Joseph Smith, 41, of Denmark, died at 6 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005, at his home.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19 at King-Lynk Funeral home in Fort Madison, with Pastor Jon Heyland officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the funeral home, with family present from 5:30 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established for his children's education.

      Survivors include his wife; his mother of Versailles, Mo.; two sons, Tyler Smith of Fort Madison, and Alec Smith of Denmark; two daughters, Danielle Smith of Fort Madison, and Casandra Bellmer of Denmark; and two sisters, Melissa Shaw of New London, and Susie Twynam of Versailles.

      He was preceded in death by his father.
