Ruben Montoya

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Ruben Montoya, 51, of Riverside died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29 in the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction with the Rev. Paul Appel of St. Joseph's Catholic Church officiating. After the service there will be a time of food and fellowship in Egert Hall in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Columbus Junction. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in San Antonio Del Tule, Chihuahua, Mexico. A memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Montoya was born March 9, 1955 in San Antonio Del Tule, the son of Cristin and Hermania (Acosta) Montoya. He married Sheila McDonald on April 1, 1981 in Lexington, Neb.
