Ruby L. Dorothy

Ruby L. Dorothy, 70, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Nelson Nursing Home, Fairfield.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2005, in Ollie Baptist Church, Ollie, Pastor Connie Chatier and the Rev. Charles Comfort officiating. Cremation will follow the service with burial of cremains in Spencer Cemetery, Stockport. Visitation will open at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with family present 4 to 5 p.m. Memorials have been established to Ollie Baptist Church or Hospice of Central Iowa may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 704 S. Adams Ct., Mt. Pleasant 52641.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, Richard D. Dorothy and wife, Cheryl of Ainsworth and William "Doug" Dorothy and wife, Jan of Lowell, Ark, two daughters, Belinda Rosenbaum of Des Moines and Donna Dorothy of Oxford, a daughter-in-law, Virginia Dorothy of Virginia Beach, Va., 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a brother, Keith Snyder of Stockport and 2 sisters, Jeri Pratt of Chillicothe, Mo., and Louise Lanam of Quarryville, Pa. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Norman "Jay" Dorothy, 2 brothers, Forrest and Norman "Butch" Snyder, a sister, Donna Carrico and a son-in-law, Robert Rosenbaum.
