Ruby L. Regenbrecht

      Ruby L. Heitmeier Regenbrecht, 86, of Donnellson, formerly of Burlington, the Sperry area and New York, died at 1:50 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at Donnellson Health Center.

      A graveside service will be at a later date in the Keokuk National Cemetery. There will be no visitation. A memorial has been established. Lunning Chapel of Burlington is in charge of arrangements.

      Mrs. Regenbrecht was born on Dec. 31, 1915, in Sperry, the daughter of Frank and Mata Gerdes Heitmeier. She married Albert Regenbrecht on Sept. 15, 1956, in Burlington, who preceded her in death on July 2, 1990. She was a registered nurse at Sylvania. She was a graduate of Sperry High School and Burlington Hospital School of Nursing. She was a World War II Army veteran, serving from 1943 to 1946 as a nurse with the rank of first lieutenant. She received the Victory Medal and the A.T.O. Ribbon. She was of the Presbyterian faith and enjoyed traveling and golf.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
