Ruby Roberts
KALONA-Ruby Roberts, 88, of Phoenix, Ariz., died Oct. 23, 2003, at Boswell Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz., following a lengthy illness.
Celebration of life services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, with the Rev. Doug Cue officiating. Burial will be in Welsh Pioneer Cemetery in rural Iowa City. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Roberts was born on April 3, 1915, in rural Johnson County, to Hugh and Emma (Grout) Madden. She married Don. E. Roberts on June 14, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo.
