Ruby V. Sharp

Ruby V. Sharp, 84, of Winfield, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at the Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield with the Rev. Brian Betts officiating. Burial will be in the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Friday at the Honts Funeral Home; there will be no family visitation.

A memorial has been established for the Sunrise Terrace Care Center.

Mrs. Sharp was born November 10, 1915, at Argyle, the daughter of Sidney V. and Emma Klug Holmes. She married Raymond E. Sharp on October 21, 1939.

She had attended in earlier years the Evangelical Church at Donnellson.

Survivors include a son, Roger Sharp of Winfield; two daughters, Reva Scully of Oakville and Ronna Pazdral of Washington, D.C.; four sisters, Shirley Avery of Denmark, Iowa; Marian Bales of Clinton, Ark., Faye Giberson of Lebanon, Ill., and Ruth Heston of Stockport; two brothers, Osborne Holmes of Birmingham and Donald Holmes of Stockport; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Ronald, and two brothers, Frank and Stanley.
