Rueben 'Smokey' Hays February 19, 1918 - November 12, 2005
Reuben "Smokey" Hays, 87, of Farmington, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at his daughter's home in Farmington.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington, with the Rev. Barb Krueger officiating. His body will be cremated following the service with burial in the Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington. Visitation will be today after 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established.
Mr. Hays was born Feb. 19, 1918, in Iuka, Ill., the son of George and Emma Kneemeyer Hays.
