Russell Lowell Griggs
AVOCA - Russell Lowell Griggs, 93, of Ellisville, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, in St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca with the Rev. Melissa Drake officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Hancock.
Mr. Griggs was born Nov. 18, 1914, near Washington, the son of Dewitt and Annie (Weaver) Griggs. He married Mary McMillen on Feb. 15, 1938 in the Methodist Church in Washington.
