Russell Stanley Harper

Russell Stanley Harper, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at the Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

      A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Matt Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Burge Cemetery in New London. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 28, with the family receiving friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A memorial has been established to the New London United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Marci and husband Gary Wichhart of Rockford, Ill., and Linda and husband Chuck Lawson of Denver, Colo.; two grandsons, two step-grandsons and six great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one sister, Phyllis Kimbell.
