Ruth Arlene Wenger

      Ruth Arlene Wenger, 67 of Washington, went to be with the Lord, Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at her home, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

      Funeral services have been set for 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 3, at First Christian Church in Washington, with the Rev. Rich Boyd officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, with the family present from 6 to 8 in the evening. Memorials in the name of Ruth Wenger have been established for Hospice of Washington County.

      Ruth was born Jan. 26, 1936, in Pekin, Ill., the daughter of Harry Carl and Florence Edith (Wright) Wagler. She was united in marriage to Franklin D. Wenger, Nov. 21, 1959, at the Wright Church in Wright.
