Ruth DeLong Peterson

      NEW LONDON - Ruth DeLong Peterson, 92, of Wayland, formerly of New London, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, in the Parkview Home in Wayland.

      Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the Elliott Chapel, New London, with the Rev. Dot Hasler officiating. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery, New London. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel, where the family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the New London United Methodist Church.

      Mrs. Peterson was born Aug. 20, 1916 near Lowell in Henry County, the daughter of Louis LeRoy and Edna Pearl (Britton) DeLong. She married Wesley C. Peterson on May 30, 1937 in Salem.
