Ruth E. Lucas
SIGOURNEY-Ruth E. Lucas, 74, of Sigourney, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney, with the Rev. Kate Stangl officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sigourney. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today, at the funeral home, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Washington County.
Mrs. Lucas was born on March 27, 1929, near Oskaloosa, to Harry and Elsie (Blanchard) Mathes. She married Daniel Webster Lucas on Dec. 26, 1951, in Montezuma.
