Ruth E. Plowman

Ruth E. Plowman, 95, formerly of Douds, died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids.

A service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Ann Donat officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery.

Visitation, with the family, will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials to the Alzheimer?s Association or Christ United Methodist Church may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 3845 Monarch Ave., Marion 52302.

Mrs. Plowman was born May 24, 1914, in Winfield, the daughter of Carl E. and Mabel B. Stephens Garmoe. She married Theodore W. Plowman May 21, 1939. He died Oct. 24, 1988.
