Ruth Edwards

Ruth Esther Edwards, 93, of Fairfield, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

      The funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. today at the Stockport Christian Church, with the Revs. Ellis Beeman and Ted Morelock officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery in Stockport. Memorials have been established to the Spencer Cemetery or to the Stockport Christian Church. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Maynard and his wife Carolyn Edwards of Stockport; and a daughter, Carol Sue and her husband James Polito of Des Moines; and five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Freda Fleming and Marjorie Boone.
