Ruth Harmon July 19, 1928 - October 17, 2005

      Ruth E. Harmon, 77, of Farmington, died at 3:43 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

      The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at the Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington, with the Rev. Mike Shea officiating. Burial will be in the Anson Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to the Amazing Grace Bible Church or to the American Cancer Society.

      Survivors include a son; Tom Harmon of Farmington; a sister, Elizabeth Specht of Bonaparte; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Richard Harmon.
