Ruth Marie Eash, 93, died Thursday, March 3, 2022, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

Ruth was born on May 10, 1928, in Crawfordsville, Iowa, the daughter of Joe W. and Anna (Graber) Rich. She was united in marriage to Gene Eash on June 1, 1950, at the Methodist church in Crawfordsville, Iowa. She was a long-time member of the Parkview Church in Iowa City.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Walter and Herbert Rich, Beulah Witmer and Edna Swartzendruber; and her daughter, Mary Lou Barton.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Gene; her sons, Glen (Donna) and Duane (Jean); and three grandchildren, Ross Eash, Meagan and Sallie Barton.

She has donated her body to the University of Iowa College of Medicine.
