Ruth Nau Brandmeyer February 16, 1918 - August 1, 2003

Ruth Nau Brandmeyer, 85, of Story City, formerly of Belmond and Danville, died on Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at Bethany Manor in Story City.

      The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9 at the Elliott Chapel in New London, with the Rev. Matt Miller officiating. Burial will be in Long Creek Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9 at the chapel with family present from 10 to 11 a.m. A memorial has been established.

      Survivors include three sons, Stan and his wife Vivian Brandmeyer of Boone, Randy and his wife Jacquie Brandmeyer of Cotati, Calif., and Blair and his wife Cyndi Brandmeyer of Story City; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Georgiana Young of New London, and Gerry Boland of Williamsburg.

      Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Keith W. Nau; and an infant brother.
