WELLMAN ? Ruth Pauline Brenneman, 93, of Wellman, died Thursday, June 25, 2015, at her home.
Celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, June 29, at the Wellman Mennonite Church in Wellman. Burial will be in the Wellman Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, June 28, at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman.
Mrs. Brenneman was born March 5, 1922, in rural Parnell, the daughter of Vernon and Sadie (Yoder) Marner. She married Willard S. Brenneman on Jan. 2, 1946, at the Wellman Mennonite Church in Wellman.
She lived in the Wellman area all her life, where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Wellman Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. She was a member of WMSC and The Birthday Club, and volunteered at the Washington Township Elementary School. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, canning, cooking, and spending time with her family and her dog.
Surviving are five children, Duane Brenneman and wife Emma Lee of Wellman, Donald Brenneman and wife Margie of Telford, Pa., Kathleen Schlabach and husband Allen of Wellman, Karol Brenneman and wife Lori of Wellman, and Loren ?Pete? Brenneman of Wellman; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Fanni Birky and husband Wilbur of Goshen, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard; two grandsons; four brothers, Galen, Robert, Dale, and Kenneth Marner; and one sister, Mary Etta Mayard.
