Salinda Mae Miller
Salinda Mae Miller, 87, of Kalona, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a long illness.
The funeral service was at 10 a.m. today at the Kalona Mennonite Church with the Revs. Tim Detweiler and David L. Yoder officiating. Burial was in the South Gingerich Cemetery in rural Kalona. A memorial has been established to the Pleasantview Home Alzheimer's Unit. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Roy D. and his wife Mollie Miller of Kalona, and Robert L. and his wife Gayle Miller of Tununak, Alaska; a daughter, Mary C. Miller of Kalona; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, George J. Miller of Washington; three half-brothers, Amos Yoder of Belleville, Pa., Stephen Yoder of Stuarts Draft, Va., and Samuel Yoder of Hudson, Mich; four half-sisters, Rebecca Byler, Katie Yoder, Nannie Byler and Suzanne Detweiler, all of Belleville, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Elizabeth Miller; three brothers, Joseph Yoder, Jess Yoder, Urie Yoder; a sister, Mattie Zook; a half-brother, David Yoder and an infant half-brother; and a half-sister, Mary Zook.
