Samuel Edward 'Ed' Shipley

      Samuel Edward "Ed" Shipley, 82, of Keosauqua, died at 6:15 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

      A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. ellis andrews officiating. The body has been cremated.

      Open visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 10-11 a.m.

      Memorials to Van Buren Good Samaritan Center may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 839 Country Lane Road, Keosauqua 52565.

      Mr. Shipley was born Feb. 7, 1926, in Lebanon, the son of Samuel and Grace Nichols Shipley. He married Hazel Arnold March 4, 1950, in Bloomfield.
