Samuel Robert Spray

Samuel Robert Spray, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Hillsboro, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral service was today at 10:30 a.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Burial was in Hillsboro Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Hillsboro Fire Department and Rescue Squad.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Becky and her husband Lee Ewing of Stockport, and DeeAnn and her husband Mark Patterson of Hillsboro; two brothers, Tom and his wife Ruby Spray of Billings, Mont., and Max and his wife Sandy Spray of Taylor Ridge, Ill; three sisters, Margaret McCabe of Burlington, Donna Jean Ruhe of FairfieldBay, Ark; and Clarice and her husband Kenneth Johnson of Stockport; and two grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Isaacson and Julie Landess; and two brothers, John and Raymond.
