Sandra Ellis, 70, of Keosauqua, Iowa, passed away Nov. 5, 2020, at Van Buren County Hospital. She was born Dec. 17, 1949, in Adrian, Mich., to Floyd and Delores Miller Rohn. Sandra grew up in Michigan and graduated from Ferris State College. She married Terrance K. Ellis Sr. on July 5, 1969, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Blissfield, Mich. He preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 2011.

Sandra was a housewife and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden, Iowa. She enjoyed scrapbooking, puzzles and word searches. Most of all, Sandra loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie McCarty (Les) of Fairfield, Iowa; a son, Terrance K. Ellis Jr. (Michelle) of Alexander, Iowa; five grandchildren, Joshua McCarty, Matthew Ellis, Pauline Ellis, Christian Ellis and Allie Ann Ellis; three sisters, Emily Walworth (Wayne), Linda Weiland-Hernandez Hurd (Dean) and Ilo Wilson (Roy); numerous nieces, nephews; and honorary daughter, Cathy Giberson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Rohn and Delores Weiland; stepfather, Noel Weiland; husband, Terrance K. Ellis Sr.; son, Christopher Ellis; brother, Noel "Butch" Weiland; and sister, Gertrude Olson (Joe).

Per her wishes, her body has been cremated and she will be inurned next to her husband at Rock Island National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held this spring.
