Sandra K. Conrad, 78, of Washington, died Friday, January 8, 2021, at her home. Her body has been cremated and no services scheduled. The Beatty Peterseim funeral home is assisting the family.

Sandra Conrad was born December 20, 1942, in Washington IA, to Rex H. Dawson and Darlyne (Carey) Dawson. She was raised by her stepfather Melvin Jaspering, graduated from Washington High School in 1961. On June 12, 1978, Sandra was united in marriage to Ronald "Mac" Conrad. She worked in several factories in Washington, had 20-plus years as an Auto Parts manager. In 2008, she retired from the University of Iowa.

Survivors include her husband; their children, Tracy Altenhofen, Toni (Altenhofen) Mcnair, Nancy (Altenhofen) Rich, Mark (Lisa) Conrad and Susan (Mike) Bacon. Her siblings, Don (Marsha) Jaspering, Rick (Bert) Jaspering, Mike (Tess) Jaspering, Linda (Mike) Gardener, Pam (Fred) Witt, Myr Andrew and Julie (Kerry) Conner; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Proceeded in death by her parents; a sister, Deb Jaspering; stepson, Brian Conrad; a son-in-law, Jim Rich; and a great-grandson, Blake Conrad.
