Sandra Lucille Ossman,

64, of Ainsworth, Iowa,

passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Father Bernie Weir officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday. Interment will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Sandy was born Sept. 21, 1955. in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Carroll and Darlene (Anderson) Marshall. She graduated from Durant High School in 1974. Sandy married Michael Cris. They later divorced. She was united in marriage to David Ossman on April 4, 1987, in Washington, Iowa.

Sandy owned Country Essence Catering Co. for several years and was a devoted farm wife and homemaker. She was an active member of St. James Catholic Church and served on the St. James School Board. Sandy was a cheerleading coach at Washington High School and helped with high school track meets. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, antiquing and trips with her friends. Sandy loved living in the country on the farm with her beloved pets.

She is survived by her husband, David Ossman of Ainsworth; son, Nathun Crist of Urbandale, Iowa; daughter, Mandy Ossman of Marion, Iowa; daughter, Abby Gaskill and husband Luke of Minnetonka, Minn.; son, Anthony Ossman and wife Paiton of Washington, Iowa; and eight grandchildren, Hayden, Christian, Kai, Harper, Vera, Jade, Jack and Hattie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Bonnie; son, Adam Michael Crist; and brother, Jeff Marshall.
