Scott Lester Sines, 60, of Brighton, Iowa, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020, at the Washington County Hospital. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 11, at Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. A general memorial has been established. Scott was born March 24, 1960, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Paul Leland and Janice LaVon (Brelsford) Sines. He graduated from Highland High School. Scott served honorably in the Army National Guard. He was united in marriage to Christine Kerr on Jan. 20, 1979, in Washington, Iowa. They later divorced.

Scott worked in construction most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting pool and playing darts.

He is survived by daughter, Paula (Chris) Hassel of Washington; son, Michael (Carissa) Sines of Washington; grandchildren, Austin and Kaitlyn Sayre and Caydence and Micah Sines; siblings, Tom (Robin) Sines of Brighton, Cindy Sines (Ron Carol) of Washington, Sandy Davis of Washington and Todd Sines (Rose Gordon) of Sigourney; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
