Sean Alan Wehr, 38, of Keota, Iowa, died Thursday, April 28, 2022, in rural Washington County, Iowa.
Celebration of Life services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Zickefoose officiating. Calling hours will begin 3 p.m. Tuesday, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will be present to receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Sean was born April 9, 1984, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Ronald and Carol (Swift) Wehr. He attended school in Washington, Iowa, graduating from Washington High School in 2002. He was married to Faith Leeper on January 11, 2009 in West Chester, Iowa.
Sean lived all of his life in Washington County. He was a self-employed contractor and assisted his parents on the family farm. Sean loved the outdoors and spent much of his free time hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, mushroom hunting and caring for his pets.
He is survived by his wife, Faith Wehr of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; son, Colten Wehr and daughter, Kaitlynn Wehr both of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; parents, Ron and Carol Wehr of Keota, Iowa; brother, Bryan Wehr and wife Roxanne of West Chester, Iowa; aunt, Donna Rinner and husband Wes of Wayland, Iowa; two uncles, Gary Wehr and wife Joan of Washington, Iowa, and Randy Wehr and wife Jean of Washington, Iowa; mother-in-law, Charmain Bartlett and husband David of Wellman, Iowa; father-in-law, Jeff Leeper and wife Lucy of Las Vegas, Nevada; three brothers-in-law, Mitch Leeper and wife Kristie of Palo, Iowa, Christopher Leeper and wife Lindy of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Brady Bartlett of Wellman, Iowa; and his nieces and numerous cousins.
Sean was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lawerence and Gertrude Swift; and paternal grandparents, Harold and Louise Wehr.
