Sharon E. Kirkhart

      Sharon E. Kirkhart, 58, of rural Cantril, died at 4:55 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2007, at her mother's home near Fort Madison.

      A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cantril Christian Church, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron and the Rev. Gerald Hoenig officiating. Burial, with military honors by American Legion Russell-Strait Post No. 483 of Milton, will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.

      Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, where family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

      Memorials to Lee County Hospice or Maple Grove Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 29879 Fir Ave., Cantril 52542.

      Mrs. Kirkhart was born Aug. 5, 1948, in Fort Madison, the daughter of John J. and Alvina Krumpleman Buechel. She married Ronald W. Kirkhart Oct. 14, 1978, at St. Mary's Church in Fort Madison. He died June 1, 2006.
