SHARON K. HAGIST
Keota
Sharon K. Hagist of Keota passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020, at the age of 60.
Donald and Edna (Pacha) Sieren welcomed Sharon Kathryn into the world on June 16, 1960. She was married to Robert Hagist on June 30, 2001. Sharon had a love for life and her family. She was always on the go, whether it be learning a new hobby, adding to her flower gardens, nurturing animals or spending time with her greatest joy, her grandchildren. She touched many people's lives as a physical therapist assistant at the Washington County Hospital. Sharon had a gentle soul, handled life's challenges with grace, and loved the Lord. Sharon battled with posterior cortical atrophy for many years. She stayed strong to the very end. She entered the arms of Jesus surrounded by the love of her family.
She is survived by her husband; children, Clint Jaeger of Keota, Brooke (Andy) Dahlquist of Belle Plaine, Dane (Natassia) Jaeger of Keota, Bobbi (Ben) Miller of Marengo, Heather (Ryan) Robbins of Klemme and Amanda (Bret) Greiner of Washington; 13 grandchildren, Carly, Claire, Cason and Julie Jaeger, Addison, Caye and Jadie Dahlquist, Brylee, Memphis, Gia and Raelyn Jaeger, and Ava and Maddox Miller; her parents; seven brothers and sisters; and parents-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and granddaughter, Aubrey Robbins.
Family memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, at Grace Family Church, near Ollie, with Pastor Dar Eckley officiating. Private family burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton. Public visitation will be from 8 until 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Mask usage and social distancing are strongly encouraged.
Sharon's family is very appreciative of the care and support that was provided over the last few years by Lending Hands and Halcyon House.
Memorial donations may be made to Lending Hands. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is caring for Sharon and her family. Tributes may be made at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
