Sharon Kaye Bolander, 76, of Fairfield, Iowa, formerly from Burlington, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2020.

She was born December 11, 1943, in Homestead, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Anna Duggins.

She married Stanley "Bud" Gire in and they divorced in 1976. She then married Albert Bolander in 1978, he passed away in 1991. She never remarried after that.

She is survived by three sisters, Raye Hootman (Kriss Hootman deceased) of Douds, Iowa, Mary Dean (Jerry) Greene of Texas, and Janie (Thomas) Pilkington of Texas; three sons, Brian (Velva) Gire of Morrison, Illinois, Richard Gire of New London, Iowa and Jason Bolander of Fairfield, Iowa; two daughters, Angela (Shawn) Moyer of Oskaloosa and Melissa Bolander of Fairfield, Iowa; three step-sons, Donald Bolander of Texas, Edward Bolander of Texas and Curtis (Traci) Bolander of Delaware; several nieces and nephew, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both parents; her first husband, Stanley "Bud" Gire; second husband, Albert Bolander; one son, Kevin Gire; one brother, Sonny; and one sister, Barbara.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11th, at Lunning Chapel, Burlington where the family will receive friends.

Cremation will be accorded following visitation.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
