“Shennie” Buck, 82, of Ainsworth, died Sunday, May 3, 2009, in the Washington County Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating.  The body will be cremated following the service.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home without the family?s presence, and from 1

“Shennie” Buck, 82, of Ainsworth, died Sunday, May 3, 2009, in the Washington County Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating.  The body will be cremated following the service.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home without the family?s presence, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the family present.  A general memorial fund has been established.

Mr. Buck was born in Keokuk, the son of Marvin Hugo and Irene (Rath) Buck.  He married Jan Derby on Nov. 6, 1960, in Brighton.
