Sherry A. Dietrich

Sherry Ann (DeWolf) Dietrich, 55, of Washington, formerly of Colorado, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, in the Washington County Hospital in Washington.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 22, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Jason Collier officiating. The body will be cremated following the service. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 7 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m.

Mrs. Dietrich was born Oct. 18, 1960, in Newton, the daughter of H. Dean and Sandra K. (Griffin) DeWolf. She married Matthew Nickel on Aug. 22, 2014, in Nederland, Colorado.

She graduated from Mid-Prairie High School and received an Associate of Arts degree from Indian Hills Community College. She was a registered nurse and worked in several hospitals, including University of Colorado Hospital, Rose Medical Center, National Jewish Hospital, St. Luke?s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, and most recently the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. She enjoyed rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, reading and crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her husband Matt of Conifer, Colorado; three children, Skyler Dietrich and fiancé Joseph Sanchez of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Savannah Dietrich of Lakewood, Colorado, and Dalton Dietrich of Conifer, Colorado; her parents, H. Dean and Sandra DeWolf of Washington; one brother, Bill DeWolf and wife Sue of Mount Pleasant; and one sister, Jennifer Miller and husband Duane of Crawfordsville.
